In Its 150th Year, Urge Canada to End the Commercial Seal Slaughter

warning: graphic

As Canada prepares to celebrate its 150th birthday, the festivities are marred by an ugly stain: the annual commercial seal slaughter, in which tens of thousands of baby seals are shot or bludgeoned to death for their fur. Switzerland just became the 35th country to ban imports of seal-derived products—and this is the year that we must end the cruel slaughter!

Seal Slaughter

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has tackled many social issues since taking office, and now, he has an opportunity to offer help to others who desperately need it: baby seals.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Please urge Prime Minister Trudeau to lift the cloud darkening Canada's birthday celebrations by ending federal subsidies of the commercial seal slaughter.
